Introduction
Talen Energy Corporation (together with our subsidiaries, “Talen”, “We”, “Us” or the
“Company”) respects the privacy of our employees’ and contractors’ personal information and is
committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.

This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may
provide when you visit the Talen Connect Intranet (our “Intranet”) and our practices for
collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. Your usage of the
Intranet must be compliant with the Talen’s policies, including but not limited to our Code of
Business Conduct and Ethics, IT Compliance Policy, Electronic Information Security Policy,
Acceptable Use Policy, Electronic Messaging Policy and Mobile Computing Devices and Logical
Access Policy (collectively and individually the “Talen IT Policies”). As a reminder, the
Company’s computer systems, including the hardware, software, all data and messages created,
sent, received or stored in the system, internet/intranet facilities, e-mail, voice mail, telephone/cell
phone, and fax equipment are and remain at all times the property of the Company and are provided
for business purposes. They are not the private property of any employee. The Company may
review, audit, access, retrieve and disclose them. The Company reserves the right, and does from
time to time, to monitor the access and use of its computers, software, email, and internet/intranet
facilities, without prior notice. Nothing contained herein is intended to supersede the above
company policies. In the event that there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and any of the
Talen IT Policies, the Talen IT Policies will control.

This Intranet privacy policy applies to information we collect:

• On this Intranet.
• In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and this Intranet.
• Through mobile and desktop applications you download from this Intranet,
which provide dedicated non-browser-based interaction between you and this
Intranet.

It does not apply to information collected by:
• Us offline or through any other means, including on any other Intranet operated
by Talen or any third party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries);
• Any third party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries), including through any
application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible
from or on the Intranet; or
• Information collected from publicly available government records.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your
information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your
choice is not to use our Intranet. By accessing or using this Intranet, you agree to this privacy
policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your
continued use of this Intranet after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes,
so please check the policy periodically for updates.

Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It
We collect and store several types of information from and about employees and users of
our Intranet, including information:

• By which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, e-mail address,
telephone number, or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline
(“personal information”);
• Recruitment information, such as application, CV, references, background checks,
interviews and assessments, immigration and relocation information, exits surveys;
• Human resources information, such as date of birth, identification documentation, driver’s
license details, national identity, social security number, employee number, position,
organization, bank account, next of kin, location, salary, and leader.
• That is about you but individually does not identify you; and/or
• About your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Intranet, and usage
details.
We collect this information:
• Directly from you when you provide it to us.
• During the course and scope of your employment with Talen.
• Automatically as you navigate through the site. Information collected automatically may
include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies.
• From third parties, for example, our business partners.

Information You Provide to Us.
The information we collect on or through our Intranet may include:

• Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Intranet. This includes information
provided at the time of registering to use our Intranet, applying for employment with Talen,
or accessing or uploading material. We may also ask you for information when you report
a problem with our Intranet.
• Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses) transmitted
through the Intranet.
• Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete.

Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies.
As you navigate through and interact with our Intranet, we may use automatic data
collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and
patterns, including:

• Details of your visits to our Intranet, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other
communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Intranet.
• Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address,
operating system, and browser type.
The information we collect automatically may include personal information, or we may
maintain it or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways or receive from third
parties. It helps us to improve our Intranet and to deliver a better and more personalized service,
including by enabling us to:
• Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
• Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Intranet according
to your individual interests.
• Speed up your searches.
• Recognize you when you return to our Intranet.
The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:
• Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your
computer. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting
on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain
parts of our Intranet. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse
cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Intranet.

and on our Intranet. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are

How We Use Your Information
We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any
personal information:

• To present our Intranet and its contents to you.
• To provide you with information that you request from us.
• To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
• To provide you with notices about your account.
• To provide you with support and to respond to your inquiries, including investigating and
addressing your concerns and monitoring and improving our responses.
• To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into
between you and us.
• To help maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our Intranet, products and services,
databases and other technology assets, and business.
• For testing, research, analysis, and product development, including to develop and improve
our Intranet, products, and services.
• To notify you about changes to our Intranet or any products or services we offer or
provide though it.
• To respond to law enforcement requests and as required by applicable law, court order, or
governmental regulations.
• To monitor your use of the Intranet to ensure your usage complies with Talen’s IT, nondiscrimination/anti-harassment, ethics, codes of conduct, and other policies.
• To allow you to participate in interactive features on our Intranet.
• In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
• For any other purpose with your consent.

Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose aggregated information about our employees, and information that does
not identify any individual, without restriction.
Talen may disclose your personal information to a third party for a business purpose. When
Talen discloses personal information for a business purpose, Talen enters a contract that describes
the purpose and requires the recipient to both keep that personal information confidential and not
use it for any purpose except performing the contract. We may further disclose personal
information that we collect, or you provide, as described in this privacy policy:

• To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
• To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business
and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential
and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
• To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring,
reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Talen’s assets,
whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in
which personal information held by Talen about our Intranet users is among the assets
transferred.
• To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
• For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
• With your consent.
We may also disclose your personal information:
• To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any
government or regulatory request.
• and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.
• If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety
of Talen, our customers, suppliers, or others. This includes exchanging information with
other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk
reduction.

In the preceding twelve (12) months, Talen has not sold the personal information of its Intranet
users.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information
You can review and change your personal information by logging into the Intranet and
visiting your account profile page. You may also correct your information by contacting your HR
Business Partner.
Proper access and use of information provided on the Intranet, including User
Contributions, is governed by Talen IT Policies.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy
It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy on this page. The date
the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for
ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable email address for you, and for periodically
visiting our Intranet and this privacy policy to check for any changes.
