As Vice President Major Projects, Scott Blair leads Talen’s Major Projects business unit, which manages major capital projects to ensure they are executed as efficiently as possible.
Mr. Blair has over 25 years of experience in power plant operations, management and financial performance initiatives. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Director – PJM Gas Operations from 2017-2019, managing Talen’s PJM gas and oil fleet portfolio. Before joining Talen, Mr. Blair held various roles with Constellation Energy, including Plant Manager, responsible for a 1200 MW fleet of gas turbines and steam plants spanning 26 units and six sites in Md. and Pa.; Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis; as well as a variety of technical support positions throughout his 25-plus year tenure.
A graduate of University of Maryland, Mr. Blair holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Loyola College.
